I shut down
I go quiet and turn away. This can last for days or weeks. Then something sets me off and I erupt. Not healthy, I know but he's not a good communicator and is very "me" oriented. He's unable to see it from my POV. And, I have a temper. So, I've learned to walk away until I can think it through. It depresses me and makes me feel hopeless and unable to control my place in the marriage.
I try my best to communicate how I feel and cope when it's not received, however, at a certain point of disrespect I either explode or shut down completely.
