Another waste of time
Just talked to someone for 3 weeks and things were going so great! We had good talks and they seemed really interested! Went on our first date yesterday and I had alot of fun and they said they did as well. Things felt great we communicated alot expressed our interests and I felt really comfortable being around them. They even asked when I would be free for a second date! Then this morning they’ve now left me on read for 3 hours after I’ve seen them online. Why do I even bother trying anymore? Nobodies ever actually real with their intentions anymore. This always seems to happen too. I talk to someone for a few weeks then when we meet it’s like “yea nah nevermind”. Why? I’m so tired of it!
istg people suck so so much lately. idek whats wrong with people. but don’t let what’s going on affect u in any way. it’s not u who’s to blame at all. it’s them. you’ll def find the one you will trust me on this but just like everything else, it’ll take time. i’m sorry u have to go through this you deserve better.
I found this sometimes when I was online dating. Chat for weeks and seem to have great chemisty but after meeting up it fizzles. I found it much better to not chat online for weeks, as fun as that part is, and instead just arrange to meet up after a day or two. Saved getting hopes up then feeling like I wasted a lot of time.
The peculiarity of online dating is that people can pretend to be another person to communicate with you. That's why I never get optimistic when it comes to dating. @sensibleApple9556 I'm sorry you had this experience. Online dating definitely kind of requires some stamina and maybe lower expectations of just meeting new people, knowing that many first or second dates may not work out. :/ It sucks when you really like someone I know.
