Girlfriend found out the truth

My girlfriend of 11 years found out things that I have hidden from her which was me buying a video each from two girls I know about 2 years ago and I don't even know why I did. I deleted the videos and have been truthful ever since but she finally found out the truth and when confronted I kept lying and making things worse because somehow I thought that it would be better then her knowing the actual truth. Well I've been dragging out this lie for a week and it was killing her because she finally thought that I had told her everything but I didn't and it ate at me until I broke down and told her. I don't know what to do or even how to begin to fix this if there is even fixing it. I'm so lost I do t want to lose her but at the same time I feel that she should leave me for something g better.

@bestPineapple8195Relationships are a funny thing ...

i know the conventional wisdom is truth in all matters but really how do we know.? ....... i have seen so many relationships ruined over truth not secrets.....

maybe you do not know why you bought videos ... or maybe you do know deeper down.... i no longer believe that what ever we do is about our partner but about more about us and what we want.

I think you are brave to clear all the little secrets and such .....but that was the hard part .......

quit beating yourself up .................coming clean was your part but her reaction is out of your control ...

that does not mean there is better out there just different.

I mean... it's still the secrets and lies that ruin relationships. Truth is important. At least when it comes to things pertinent to the relationship.

I do agree that her reaction is out of your control. And whether or not to leave is her decision.
