Is the texting normal?
me and my boyfriend have been dating since August 2021 and became exclusive in October. He use to be an okay texter but recently he’s started this habit where he will go all day without texting me. He doesn’t have a job he’s a freelance music producer so he spends most of his day making tracks at home and spending time with his family. I ask why he doesn’t text me sometimes and he says some days he prefers to be alone and leaves his phone unattended. I suspect he has depression and advised therapy but he’s hesitant. We don’t see each other outside of our plans so our main way of contact outside of dates is texting/calling. Is it normal to go a day without hearing from your SO? Should I be worried about the relationship fading out even though we just started dating?

At least in my own relationships, I've found that people vary a lot in how much they think is enough for texting. Some people want to communicate multiple times per day and other people have been happy with as infrequently as once or twice per week.
If it's a concern, maybe you could talk with him about it and try to come to a mutual understanding on what works for both of you as far as how you'll be in contact.
I wouldn't be too worried just yet. I'd venture to guess that if he's been an okay texted til now, and is suddenly not, then he's really not much of a texted at all.
Most behavior at the start of a relationship is a reaction to the other person. Eventually they return to their normal behavior.
Also.... people need space.
Take it slow... don't rush it.
