A Discussion on Detachment (Friendship on 7cups, Q3)!

July 5th, 2021

Hi, hope you enjoyed the Q1, and Q2!

Everyone knows that after 1 and 2, comes 3!

So here we are, with today’s question (and the related activity)!

Q3: What is the best bond two people could share?

We live in a world of impure, imperfect relations. Whether it be friendships, familial relationships, generally we feel curbed and our inner potential remains limited. We survive those relationships only out of our fear of being left lonely. {To what extent does it ring true to you?}

While in a true friendship, the only rule is to be yourself. This friendship won’t ask you to curb yourself in any way. It won’t even ask you to behave a certain way.

Rather, it’d ask you about your happiness, and then encourage you to follow that path!

A true friendship, thus, looks to liberate you. It encourages the real-you interact with the world.

You know what makes this magic possible?

It is made possible by the basis of such a friendship, which is the selfless love of two friends for one another - they want their friend happy, with them or without them. True friendship is free from a sense of possession, demands or attachment. {How does this idea sound to you?}

This enables each to feel accepted and loved in the friendship.

This enables the friends to trust & help each other beyond limits.

And this is the reason why, that any pure relation on this mother earth, is a relation of true-friendship at its core.

Feel free to share your thoughts and views and add to the discussion we initiated.

Think of someone from your life, past or present, offline or online, and then tag a 7cups friend who reminds you a little of the beauty of that special someone.

What is the best bond two people could share?

It actually depends on a number of factors, like opinions, personality, etc. But I have two opinions here.

First
The best bond two people can share is true friendship. See how I used the word 'true' here. True friendship is where trust is there. The first person has trust on the second person and vice vera. True friends are the ones who comfort you when you cry and who will always be by your side. Trust is a very delicate thing, which requires a lot of actions to be gained. But one action can break that same trust, and after breaking that trust, it is difficult to gain it back again. True friends have trust on one another. I won't say they will be by your side *forever*, because life is really unpredicatable. But I can assure you that of they are a true friend, then they are worth it! laughyes

(I sound so wise haha)

Second
The best bond that two people can share is a relationship. Relationship is where there is love. Of course, there is trust here too, but hear me out. We know that the feeling love can be different towards different relationships. The feeling love in true friendship is different from the one we experience in a relationship. I know you might not agree, but this is just my opinion, hehe. laugh
So, basically, this is the 'head over heels' love, haha. This is where a person loves another person despite their flaws. They can do anything for the other person to make sure that the other person feels loved and cherished. This is the strongest as a person has a significant other throughout their life(in the marriage edition) and they can be our best friend too! Love is a delicate thing too. It also is the same as trust in terms of gaining, losing and regaining it. The difference is the feeling. That's what it is. Love feels different and trust feels different. It depends on each individual about what they prefer and feel more themselves in.

That was just my opinion, hahalaugh

(I sound wise by the way, hehe)

Hey, @kindLemonade, do I sound wise? cheeky
