School Became Hell
Hey, I'm in 10th grade. I've been through lots of breakups in my school, & lots of lonely days. But two years ago I met a friend that "promised" to never leave even though our problems get too complicated. We were the best two humans ever put together. When this year began, she changed. She started ignoring me which lead to me cutting & being depressed. She didn't do anything when she knew. Depression caused a lot of problems to us, so one day I apologized for my mistakes, promised to stop the drama, & begged for another chance. But she refused to forgive me, refused to trust me, & refused to love me again. I feel so bad caus she turned out to be a liar. And now I'm lonely again at school! How can I stop being attached to her & how can I fill up my time...Please help.
Hello. I think you can try talking to other people in the school or even make simple conversations about the weather. You can also read books to keep your mind off things. I do that and it helps me a lot. I'm not really good at relationships but I would encourage you to be strong and to remember that relationships are not everything. You have yourself and your dreams and aspirations. You can do whatever you want to aspire to be. :)
I am sorry you had a difficult experience with your friend. It's always hard when our friends don't understand us and make a choice to end the friendship. The thing I would try to remember is to not give your power away. Don't let your feelings about this friendship cause you to not trust other people and cause you to harm yourself. No one is perfect. We all make mistakes. And her choice to not forgive is about her, not about you. If you sincerely apologized for your mistakes and tried to make things right then you have done everything you can. Hopefully in time she will come around. But I also agree with what was said about trying to start talking to other people. That way you won't feel so lonely. In the meantime, your 7 cups friends are all here for you.

Friend, promises made at such a young age are not the easiest to keep. In the words of a childhood story book: "Forever and ever is a very long time..."
It sucks either way how your friend changed and left you like this :( Rare is the friend who does not change in the way (s)he treats and approaches you, let alone one who does change yet remains friendly.
It is very difficult to conquer a need for attachment to another person. The only way to do so is to find some way of being content with being and staying with the self while constantly looking for a friend and companion. It is obviously easier said than done; indeed, it took me all through high school to get to where I am now. I am not even done yet, even.
We cannot change those we love, neither their aspects, nor in the way they treat us. It is very hard to bear, especially when they begin to push us away. I know this very well. :'( All that is left is learning how to react and manage to their behavior, and finding what we can do next to keep moving forward.
Keep the faith, keep being the good person I know you areand stay strong.
Blessings,
StJaume
I kind of know how you feel. the summer before high school I met a guy and he became my best friend and we were practically attachedat each other hip. he promised me he would always be there for me, through thick and thin and that I never had to worry about him leaving because leaving wasn't an option for him. well, after 2 years, we began dating, dated for 8 months, and those 8 months he broke every promise he ever made me. he left. we haven't talked in about 3 months, mind you this was a guy I talked to everyday and trusted with my life.
I guess what I'm trying to say, is that I know it hurts. I know how much it sucks and although I may not know your exact situation I know how dreadful it is to sit in bed at night and know everything that person said was a lie. it's hard, you may never really be 'over' it, but eventually it starts to drift into the past and you just have to continue to remind yourself you deserve someone who gives a damn about you. and that sometimes people turn out to be who they say they aren't. i guess sometimes we just have to learn to be our own best friend..
