She's not being a good friend to me
Since the middle of the summer, a friend of mine has been acting really funny towards me. Basically:
1. She is having gatherings and inviting everyone but me
2. She is acting really passive aggressive with me about not inviting me in hoping that I will get the message that she does not want to invite me because she invited people who I don't get along with
3. She first said she was going to attend my birthday party but them bailed on Friday by saying that she was going to attend another gathering over mine. (A lot of people were bailing on the venue and the timing)
4. When I posted on sm about how sad I was, she didn't follow up with anything other than a sad emoji reply
5. When she RSVPed - she gave off too many details
A. My uncle is alone and my dad needs to take care of him
B. My brother's out of the country
C. Sunday is a work night, which was never a problem for her in the past
@summershy I’m so sorry, that sounds really rough. A lot of people have had at least one mean person in their life, so I believe that you can get through it.
also, happy birthday!!!

I have some updates:
1. I spoke with my counselor about her and we both agreed that she is definitely not interested in me. We also looked at some pictures of us together, based on the photo, she did not not like she was that excited to be with me. She also looks like she has her own agenda.
2. Though I have told her otherwise, I quietly removed her from Facebook today and didn't say anything but if she does contact me, then I am going assert myself by mentioning that I don't think we are a good fit for each other and here is why.
However, when got together last year, I didn't feel like we were really connecting.
I don’t think she’s mean, I just think she is not interested. However, I do think she’s definitely manipulative. Last year, her other friends didn’t want to go out for lunch as a group due to covid. Both of us were sad about that, so we hooked up. Therefore, I think she was using me out of loneliness. That said, I didn’t really feel a connection with her. I was the one doing all the talking too.
I also thought about it, and while she is also autistic, I am in a very different place than she and her friends are. As for the back stabbing, she associates with friends who tend to be narcissistic.
