how to stop being jealous/competitive to one specific person
Over the past few weeks i noticed im starting to get kinda competitive and insecure around one of my friends. I was never like this before and i dont know whats causing it but she just has a way of getting under my skin. If im doing something or hanging out with a friend she immeadtely gets involved too and its starting to feel like she everywhere. I swear im a really secure person i dont know why im feeling this with her- its litterally just her i dont feel this with any of my other friends and i want it to stop. Most of the examples that come to mind of me being jealous/competitive has to do with other people, feeling like other people might like her more than me or feeling left out.
We have a lot of classes together and its really stressing me out any help would be appreciated.

I can understand ..there are certain people that for whatever reason get under your skin
does she fit into one of these examples?
#1 you have a group of friends or hanging out with one person and along comes Person X who may want to change what you are doing or talking about ... make plans for group or otherwise dominate the situation.
#2 someone that plays one up ... if I say i had a flat tire on car ........all four went flat for her ...or whatever...always had it worse or better then everyone and really is in desperate need of attention.
Either way a person can feel left out of conversation/ plans etc...... It is not that your other friends LIKE this person more it is just hard to get rid of a cling on who thinks they run the group person.

I guess she's more #2. The main example that comes to my mind is she brags about taking a lot of AP classes and then kinda shames me for mainly taking on-level classes. Its done jokingly tho so it's always hard to tell
It's just not fun… My current plan is to just wait it out until I graduate. thanks for the advice/validation tho its nice to hear this stuff said.

The fake make it sort of jokingly is a classic move by this type....
hope it helps to know they are out there and you may run into this type again but you will see it right off in future.
