A universal pattern of no respect?

It doesn't matter who it is, but everyone that has ever crossed my path in life seem to have little or no respect for me. As a result, I am a very lonely person because I expect fairness and truth. I am neurospicy so I know i see things differently in great and excruciating detail.. but I also know I am kind with bounds of empathy.

@SayWhaaat You know what? I'm glad you said that because I thought I was crazy for noticing the same thing. I think some people are just being oblivious (I know I have done this), and other people are testing boundaries.

You noticing the same thing is also a relief to me. I'm 32, it has been happening all my life and you're right. Some people don't realise how disrespectful they can be, others do and just don't care. I spent so long thinking I was the problem. These days I don't feel that way. I feel that I am the only normal one and everyone else is stuck playing a game of modern civilisation, riddled with viruses like social media. I am an old soul and I fit in nowhere.

@SayWhaaat That's a fair way to feel. Sometimes I feel the same way. You're actually probably correct to feel that way, too. The self-awareness means we can avoid being fake!

It seems to me like younger people are self-focused and private, and probably very anxious (as am I, to be fair). I see elders differently. Not better, though. Just different. When I watch the elderly, I see a bunch of people trying to milk every social interaction they can, putting on a fake friendly act at least part of the time.

The world got tough and everyone is looking out for themselves. Gone are the days of authentic relationships with friends, family or lovers. Everyone is broken.
