Dad claims I don't know physics over Library celling fan

 Background

Every summer I'm afraid of the same old thing.  Dad playing with the library celling fan to the point I have to hide the remote  because he's the one who doesn't know psychics.   This is a  such a problem to the point Mom and I  can't even talk to him about it because he wouldn't listen because he thinks that ^ means cool down/forces basement air out closed windows.  So it just means a cooked adult child who lives up here when she's not anywhere else  and/or it means a cooked senior adult (Mom) who sleeps up here.

Also I'm in the hottest room in the house and as of this week I'm at a hot church from 8am-1:30pm+  The library celling fan has 2 modes on the remote  forward mode (arrow pointing down) and reverse mode (arrow pointing up).     Here's a picture of how it's look when fans is in correct setting to cool me off.  That little arrow can go up when press for/reserve button

Story

So I came home from Bible Camp. I only came home early because one of the other adults wanted a 2nd adult in her car to drive a youth home after youth lunch and Mom volunteered me to do that.  The adult dropped me off at home as well afterwards. I got dressed in junk clothes, do some recycling jobs  and went to the library I noticed it was hot up there when I got there so I checked the remote (see picture) and the arrow is up not down (picture). So I put it on down.   I felt cool between the two fans and then suddenly I'm not exactly sure when - between 30mins to an hour  I felt really hot again  and I go check the remote again and once again  the arrows on the *bacon* up side.  So I put it back on down and then placed it on the table next to Mom's bed so Dad can't as easily access it.

I then went downstairs and tried to talk sense into him saying that up didn't mean cool like he thought it did and he yelled at me saying 1. "I don't know physics"  and he was trying to get basement air out the back widows of the library (um hello? the back windows of the library are closed!!!)  and then he starting at me (think caps) "This is my house! This is my house!" And then he started to push me because he refused to listen to someone who actually spends their time up there and doesn't want to be roasted to death up there.

Especially when I have 2 more days of camp and I'm going back to Disabled summer Camp at the end of the month

If he keeps this up he's going to send Mom/I to the hospital or worse because of his made up physics logic.

@Amanda84 yeah but with him thinking he knows best with the fan remote I have to remove it from where he can access it.  And if I keep doing that he will have a hissy fit about me hiding it.

@Disneywoman how about you make him stay in that room and see if he feels hot or cold that way he does experience the difference when using the remote correctly
