Distance Relationships
Hello,
I recently met a guy that I already can tell that I like very much. We speak nearly everyday but only meet when I have to go to his city on work.
My company will cease operations next year where I live and requests me to move to a new city until May 2026. I chose one city where I have a friend that could support me, to move next year in May. But meanwhile, I met this guy that I like very much and August will be the last month I will travel to his city on work; so I start thinking if I should move to the closest city that my company has available, even before next year, instead the city I chose where I have a friend.
when I speak about it, he says it’s my decision… I understand he is being polite and doesn’t want to have a weight on my choice, but in the end I have to move anyway and I would rather move earlier to the nearest city my company has available, but of course, I would like to have his support and help if I decide to do so, because I would do it to be close to him and I believe he would like it as well. At the same time, I don’t want to rush and ask him this all the time, but if I’m not fast, I will lose this chance!
Shouldn’t you move for the people you love? And not think about the option that it could go wrong? I have to move anyway! He has my word… I feel quite lost here and I don’t know what to do.
I hope I didn’t write too much and that I was clear :)
Thank you 🙏

So you will need to move for job and while you originally thought somewhere you already know a friend there NOW you are considering moving to your new relationship partner lives.
You asked and probably expected them to be more excited or positive about but they were like it is your decision. That is pressure to even help making a big decision like moving when relationship was LD and not something that could be IRL after the move
Maybe they feel pressure by this and worry if it did not go well and yes it would be better to only think positive but most people do consider what if it did NOT.
@CarolinaConceicao,
I understand your dilemma. Your relationship is still in the early stages and no one knows *** it's gonna work out. It's a book that is still at chapter one.
As for your job, that's different. Do you like your job? Do you feel you are appreciated and recognized? If so, I would choose you first. In other words, make decisions solely for you first. And see how everything develops.
