Do I contact ?
My ex and I started a relationship in April 2024, and it became official in the fall. It ended in late February 2025 after he cheated on me. During the breakup, he even made me speak with the woman he cheated with. He blocked me everywhere immediately afterward, then unblocked me on WhatsApp. Following an argument, I blocked him and asked him not to unblock me on ***.Later, he sent me a T-shirt I had left behind. I had asked him to give it to a friend of mine, but he was extremely rude to her, so I had to ask him to mail it to me.At the end of March, I contacted him about an important matter. He replied coldly after two days. I didn’t respond anymore. Two weeks later, I changed my WhatsApp profile picture. Around the same time, he removed his profile photo—at least for me and those not in his contacts—and made his *** public. I’m still blocked there.Then, ten days ago, he unblocked me on ***—exactly at the same time that his profile went back to private. Mine has always been private. There were no messages and no follow. Now two weeks have passed and still nothing has happened.He has an anxious personality, tends to ruminate, is insecure and prone to projection. He doesn’t let go of past relationships easily and has shown signs of obsessive jealousy—not only toward his own past but also toward mine.Why did he unblock me on *** after three and a half months?Is he trying to find closure, to leave a door open, or is it just something symbolic for himself?What might happen next?Is there a real chance he’ll contact me again?

If you are keeping track of all the blocked and unblocked times .... you have not moved on.... if you broke up because he cheated on you why do you care if he blocks or not?
Do not contact unless you are willing to go thru all this drama again...
it is up to YOU to move on and find someone else and be happy or keep tabs on ex.
I want to contact him to heal, to be in good termos but for me, so I can forget everything and move on, but the way things went I don’t like it
@amiableCamp4031
some may get a friendly end or "closure" ... but not everyone.
We may not like it...... but revisiting it could actually go worse with more fighting etc
We play this out in our head but the other person is NOT given a script to say or do what you feel will give us the end we think we need.
@amiableCamp4031 Hey there, hopefully you are doing well. it's very important to take few steps back and think about this in a calm state. Communication and reaching out goes both ways, he didn't put an effort to keep the contact going when you reached out to him first. Do you feel he seemed excited to talk around this time?. You mentioned he cheated, do you feel he's a person you can trust again going forward?. It's understandable you are trying to find the meaning behind him unblocking you, but is he someone you are able to feel heard, understood and safe?. Please take time for yourself to think about the these questions I asked, and hopefully you are able to make a decision that best fits you.
I have a similar situation
