Feel like a bad person.
I accidentally gave my ex's 19-year-old cat an earlier dose of her medication which caused her to have to be euthanized the next day. I was taking care of my ex by letting her sleep in after her infusion. It was a mistake and she believes I murdered her.

medications in animals can be tricky, and I am sure it was accidental. I 19-year-old cat had a long life and once on a medication small things could go wrong regardless of if you gave medication or she did.
Give her time to process the loss and she will see it was not intentional.

i think as the grief eases she will see it and she will forgive any part you had with it
Meds can be extremely tricky especially when they can’t tell you what is wrong. From personal experience having an old animal crossing the rainbow bridge can be extremely difficult give her time or ask do you want me to leave you alone or check in on you that can make someone feel better in a tough time over the years or months depending on how she is you can start talking to her and explain it to her, but do not try and bombard her with it. She basically just lost her child and it is not your fault. Thing happen for a reason religious or not things happen and you cannot control it. It might’ve just been the cats time and you just happen to be there.
