Me and my wife of 23 years have just seperated and I'm alone right now. I feel so depressed and don't know what to do. I saw my kids earlier and they cheered me up but not I'm not

If recently separated it takes time to get into your new routine.  a long marriage is not something you put in your rearview so easily.
