Heartbroken
Hello everyone, good day. I hope you’re all doing okay.
I don’t even know if it’s okay for me to rant here, but I really need to let this out because I feel like I’m drowning.
I’ve been in a relationship for 5 years with my first love, my first everything. I gave him my whole life, my whole heart, only for him to break me and leave… for another girl. The same girl I always questioned him about, the one he always swore was “just a friend.” He made me feel crazy, like I was overreacting, like I was the problem. But now he’s with her.
We had a huge fight in July, and in that same month he moved on and started dating her. I’ve been crying, begging, texting him… even when he insults me, calls me a crazy ***, says he can’t be with me because of my anger, anger he caused by lying and cheating. Is it wrong that I felt jealous? That I couldn’t take the pain?
He always twisted things on me, saying I overthink, I overreact too much, that he’s the man so he can do whatever he wants. Many times when I visited him, he would leave me alone for a whole week, not telling me where he was. I know his friends cheat. I even caught him in a group chat bragging about being with other girls, but he always denied it.
Now I feel like I’m losing my mind. Am I really the problem? Did I lose him because of my overthinking? But if he ever loved me, how could he move on so fast… within just a month?
@lilyfebegas
Hi. I have doubts that you were the problem, as it was his actions that made you feel this way. If someone can move on so quickly, what’s to say he doesn’t do this again with the one he’s now with?
Sorry you’re hurting, breakups are hard but you deserve much more. Wishing you the best 🌹
I'm sorry for the pain and hurt you are feeling.
Of course you can post here and scream or shout or cry. People are here to help.
It will get better I promise thou it may never fully go away.
First off break off all contact. Delete his number block any social media. Blackout communication. We do stupid things that often make things worse in the immediate post break up state. If he's pulling away trying to grab him does not help.
You are allowed to feel what ever you feel there is no wrong. You need to experience your feelings as you process . Your brain will play tricks on you. I'm a over thinker so my brain will often make it worse
You need to focus on yourself . Look after yourself be kind to yourself. Deep down you know you are enough and worthy of love. It was his lacking something that could accept that. That's on him.
Stop giving up more parts of yourself to some one who no longer cares.
@lilyfebegas Excellent advice being given here by @blueLemon3704 . ^^^^
Try your hardest to step back and stop trying to contact him. remove his contact info. Believe me this helps, as I have had to do this with someone I love. We are apart for different reasons but heartache is heartache. I feel your pain.
This will be hard and hurt for sometime but you will move on and find the right person for you.
one who will value you for who you are.
He did this and you have nothing to feel bad about.
Sending lots of hugs to help you heal.
