Help me lol

Hi everyone.

Last October I met a rlly amazing guy while I was living abroad for 3 months and we had a rlly amazing time.

We continued to date long distance since I’ve come home to the USA — and I had plans to go see him , but I kept learning new things. And a few times he yelled at me and called me names , I cancelled my flight 5 times. I’m such a mess bc I still haven’t ended things bc I am attached to him, but I think it’s a trauma bond, but it’s just too hard. He is weird and secretive.

😔

I'm sorry you are struggling.

But it's not a healthy attachment.

And honestly once you end the contact

You'll feel better.

And the healing can begun.

You don't need to be around someone who shouts and is dishonest 🩷

If someone else posted what you did what would your advice to them be?

To me it doesn't sound like the beginnings of a healthy relationship.

When we meet someone or are in a situation like on vacation or living abroad it is fun and exciting.

We feel like we like a place or people and wish it could be permanent. Issues only pop up when the details of "how to make this work come up".

Maybe it is not that you are attached to a person that is now showing you sides you did not notice before, but you ARE attached to the Idea of this love story you pictured this becoming.   We do not let go even if some signs are there because we may think what if this worked.   many people do this and many find out the hard way that vacation mode or short term was never meant to be your path.

Wish my girl had like you. She would have felt more than queen. But not everyone same. Just talk to him and figure out your problem.
