I can’t afford marriage counseling

Everyday I burden my husband with my concerns about our marriage and he is overwhelmed with it. We don’t communicate well and he isn’t the most understanding. We can talk about how we should communicate but when it comes to executing things, it comes out wrong and one way or another someone is offended and we are arguing for hours and hours. Wasting precious time when we could be having a good time. I’m tired of the cycle and feel stuck. Whether I triggered him first or he triggered me first, I always end up being the one to try to mediate the situation. I end up addressing his concerns meanwhile mine get swept under his feelings.

Any helpful suggestions would be great! Any cheap options for counseling are appreciated as well.

TIA!!!

@kindPlum3623 You can’t afford not to go to marriage counseling. You repeatedly don’t feel heard. He feels constantly criticized. It’s at resentment now … which is dangerous to any marriage. Good luck. Counseling on how to communicate to each other is cheaper than divorce

Sounds like you're doing good, as you know what "triggers" are, and that you found 7 Cups!

And, maybe it's not your time? Books can be great, too. Or keep searching for discount therapists. I don't know! It took me a long time to find one when just me wanted one, and when I did, I started here on 7Cups online. At a great rate. : )
