I feel emotionally neglected
I have been struggling with my seeming as if they're not happy with me anymore. As of late, my partner has been doing things that I have mentioned upset me before, and he used to be good about respecting those boundaries I asked for. However he recently started doing them again and when I asked/mentioned it to him, all I was given was "I'm sorry you feel that way", and if I'm honest- that really hurt me. I don't know why I feel as though I am losing him when nothing should be wrong. I tried to have a conversation with him, and it was just me telling him how I felt and him saying 'ok' or that he was sorry he couldn't help reassure me.
He has been dealing with some issues surrounding his friends lately, and he is also not a very good communicator when it comes to things like that. I just don't understand why he was able to do things to ensure I was comfortable, but can't or doesn't want to now. It makes me feel like maybe he is disinterested in me or losing feelings. He has reassured me that he IS NOT going anywhere, but I can't help feeling that way. I just can't shake it. I feel neglected by the person I love and who's meant to love me. I have been going to therapy for help with things he mentioned hurting him, and I thought maybe he could try to work on things for me too? But it always feels like I am asking too much of him or I am forcing him to talk to me. He disappears at random to go play games without saying anything after I mention multiple times that I want him to tell me when he is going to go somewhere or wants to go hangout with friends. It was a small (or so I believed) ask, something that just seemed like a common respectful curtesy..? Maybe I'm overthinking or being too hard about the situation. Please help..
@EmotionalCatt I feel for you. I have a partner and a very similar situation. Know that if you want my 2 cents I am happy to put it in. If you just needed to vent that's all good too. Either way you are heard and not alone
