Intro
Hi, I'm new here. I'm a 54 female. I was in a relationship for 17 years that ended in 2017. The breakup (divorce) was traumatic and I am still very very angry about it. It was absolutely awful. I'm here to look for ways to cope, maybe things that others find helpful. I look forward to getting to know the group.
Hello, welcome to 7cups.
Thank you for reaching out and talking about it, breakup/divorce can be hard, and it takes time to move on. And it's okay to feel this way.
I'm glad that you want to talk about it, talking definitely helps. Please feel free to message me or find any other active listener to talk.
We are here to listen and support you.

Hello, you are welcome here.
I have also a lot of anger over past trauma mainly experienced while growing up. It messed my understanding of "normal" for a long time after.
I find mindfulness and meditation helpful in reconnecting with reality and guiding our own thoughts towards the present moment as opposed to the angry past. I have managed to mellow down trigger reactions and be a lot more calm in situations that demand spending time with the people involved. If you look at the main menu, you will find the option for "Live guided sessions". These sessions on different topics are amazing ways to connect on an impersonal level with kind people who are focused on their self growth and learning how to be better at life. Perhaps you might enjoy them while you get your bearings around the site.
Wish you much happiness and peace.
Hi, thanks for the response. I haven’t found the “live guided sessions” yet. Still looking. Could you give me a hint if I’m using the app? Or is it just through the website?
@littleCucumber4132
Hello
I'm using it through the website although I think you are able to use it through the app too. On the main menu I select Chat, then select My Chats, then Group, and under that is See Live Guided Sessions. Let me know if you still have trouble finding it; then I'll try to check from the app too.

Hi and welcome. I'm 50 and also recently ended a 17 year marriage.
I'm sorry your experience has been awful and that you're still angry about it. That sounds like a hard place to be.
Feel free to ask any specific questions you have and I'm sure you'll get some good support here.
Welcome!
i have never been a fan of the School of Hard Knocks but the lessons far outweigh the tuition.
