Love Sucks

I need to talk to someone about this, I don't feel comfortable with anyone in my social circle, so why not tell strangers?

I met a boy this year, we became friends really fast. I like him and he said he liked me, but I wasn't expecting him to confess his feelings so soon (I knew he liked me, I usually pretend I don't know for the reasons below). And that's the problem, I have such a hard time with anyone trying to romantically relate to me, I panic, I don't know why. When he said he liked me, I actually freaked out.

I said that I liked him too but that I needed some time to get used to the idea. I think he didn't like it very much and gave up on me and now that I got up the courage to try, I can't find an opening to talk to him because after everything that happened, he doesn't go out alone with me anymore. I don't know what to do, sometimes I even wonder if I'm on some spectrum of aromanticity to have these intense panics with romance. I don't know, I feel like crap. Do I have a chance? I'm honestly almost letting the opportunity pass, it's easier.

Recently, he already seems to be interested in someone else. He talks about it with me, is he trying to make me jealous? How could he start liking someone different so quickly? I'm so confused, I have no idea what I'm doing.

Sorry if the grammar doesn't make sense, it's hard to express yourself in another language.

romance is different for everyone ... some people seem to be at ease with it and others like myself try to overthink and such and it feels awkward.

Perhaps he took your Honest response of needing time to think about it as a polite ... thanks but no thanks response..... remember he most likely was nervous in telling you to begin with and nervous or embarrassed that he thought you were turning him down.... most people who remain friends just want to move on and pretend that moment never happened if they feel rejected.

I think it is a good quality to be honest and tell him will only take a short time how you feel and how you are awkward in this area

communication is key. you can't guess his feelings, he can't guess yours. he might just think you're uninterested, he may have overthought your actions too. you should just text him and be honest, tell him basically what you've said in this post. the worst thing is that he doesn't like you anymore and then you don't get into a relationship -- but if you do nothing it looks like it's heading that way anyway! the best that can happen is you get together which won't happen otherwise!
