Moments of clarity
Ok, so at this point. The shock of my wifes online affair has worn off. Is that normal? I have a lot to say so there might be another post regarding my thoughts. Anyway, so trying to work through this with my wife. We have talked a lot, she is obviously not going to end this pseudorealistic relationship that she has developed with this man and turn her focus back into our REAL-ationship that has been dubbed as marriage for over 10 years. With that being the case, i have come to realize that there may not be anything left between us. My love for this woman is truely fading. How can i love someone who could blatantly do this to me? It is a cruel punishment for all the imperfections i have displayed on my part and mistakes that i have made. There really is very little regard for how im doing, what im feeling, and how ive been hoping/trying to "fix" this. At this point, i really dont know what there is to fix between us. Im emotionality destroyed...i feel almost nothing now. Is this real? I fear the complications in my young 9 yr old son's life that these events will cause by me having to leave. She told me she "needs time to work this out, and see how it all plays out". If our marriage had any hope would that even be a consideration? ...

This sucks and your wife is not seeing the big picture... that is a strong hold on something that is online and probably not realistic.
Some online friendships talk a big game but when faced with becoming a real thing the logistics and other issues come to light.
regardless of how this proceeds your child already knows something is going on ...
