Hi, I’d like an opinion from someone outside of the issue. My boyfriend is saying I’m rude and have an issue with not accepting that it’s my fault, however I don’t see it from his point of view clearly.

So we’ve just been shopping, I used my trolley token to release the trolley. I pushed the trolley the whole way round, no issues. We don’t live together and are in a bad patch (maybe unrelated) we walk to my car and load the car up, I do my part and help him with his. He is stood at the boot messing around with his shopping and I get in the drivers seat, assuming he’d return the trolley. He then walks from the boot and gets into the passenger seat. He has a look on his face, and I get out the drivers seat and return the trolley. I don’t say anything to not cause an argument and then I pull onto the road and he starts saying he did that for the principal. His now saying I’m rude and have issues that I need to resolve. I don’t see an issue with my actions, if he drove then I’d always return the trolley. But I used my car to drive to the shops, I’d also been at work this morning and I’m tired. Am I in the wrong?

@brightAcres9944

There is no issue with your actions. You drove so both could do the shopping you pushed the trolley around expecting a person to take back to the return is a simple expectation i have with my partner or other shopping friends. Sounds like he just wanted to get under your skin.

Thank you for responding,

His now refusing to talk to me unless I apologise for being rude. Saying my behaviour is crazy. I agree with your comment about getting under my skin. His given reasons to make me believe his feelings are gone, however I try to leave and he begs me to come back and turns up at my house. I really don’t understand this behaviour.
