Self esteem issues
My husband likes to look at naked models online and it makes me feel terrible about myself. Especially since I’ve just had a baby 5 months ago. He’s never put me down or anything but now when he compliments me I don’t take them very well. They feel like a lie or just something to make me happy. And ever since I noticed his online activity it seems that I notice this whole “sex sells” material on everything. It’s all over the ads on my social media, television, billboards, etc. and it just makes the way I feel about myself worse. How do I get over this?? I hate being this down all the time but it seems like everywhere I look there’s the female body being shoved in my face.

I hear you and know what you are talking about...
i can only say models and sex sells photos ........................are IMO just like the amazing food photos that are brushed with shellac to look glistening or a more vibrant color.... i do not hold up my dinners or baked goods up to match the food network or something...
we can look at the perfect turkey while ours is not perfectly colored because we did spray paint it... those models are most empty vessels that have zero interest in the many men who look at those photos ... it is a JOB for those women and once the photo shoot is over they most likely never give it mush thought again.
YOU are a real woman he loves and that is how you get over it.

Maybe there's something you can do for yourself that will build your self esteem a little.
I really should make a point to take care of myself. I’ve been in a deep depression and not really wanting to get dressed up for the day or sometimes even shower. It would be a great “square one” to at least brush my hair.
@tidyMelon7487
Yeah. Even the smallest thing like brushing hair can become a trip to pluto when problems hit but I believe in you. You gotta have faith
Doing things like writing down 100 accomplishments, or writing down a page of negative thoughts and their opposite may help.
When every up has a down we know nothing needs to be done all at once...just because nothing is changing doesn't mean it's not.
We can already be in the process of change. The quote 'nature never hurries, yet all is done.' comes to mind.
Also, chocolate. Two hot chocolates a day, with dark chocolate (73% cocoa.). It has nutrients and health benefits that nourish the body.
This life is pretty hard. We kind of have to deal with this major flaw of the magic of being alive but in a world that's so uncertain. But we can.
