She asked me to leave after a misunderstanding, and I don’t know what to do now

Hi everyone,

I’m going through a breakup that happened very suddenly. My partner told me she needed me to leave so she could cope with her emotions. She said it’s a breakup, but at the same time she helped me get a hotel room and said it was to make sure I still had a roof over my head.

The reason for all this was a misunderstanding, a friend used my social media and sent messages to another girl, which made my partner think it was me. I tried to explain, but she was too hurt and told me to go.

Right now we’re not talking. She said I could come back after about a week to pick up more of my things, so there’s a small window for contact later. I really care about her and want to fix things, but I also don’t want to push her when she needs space.

I feel lost, sad, and unsure what’s the right thing to do, should I reach out later or just let go completely? I’d really appreciate some kind words or advice on how to handle this time apart and what to do when I see her again.

@TTKru

Just give her space for now.

And when you see her next, be honest, communicate with her how you feel, and see if she can give you a second chance.

You'll have to be prepared for either outcome.

And I hope she hears you out, but dont kept your friends use your phone the next time, because it'd be hard for anyone to actually believe this was the case.

Wishing you well 💜🥰

I'm sorry for the situation and hurt you're going through.

I do feel that society has deteriorated particularly in the way it seems there is a lot of cheating going on and as a result assumptions that any slight actions or behaviors and you're accused.

I agree at this point you have to give her space and time. She could have been cheated on in the past and as a result is hyper vigilant about certain actions or behaviors.

I hope she gives you a chance to talk and from there chance to save the relationship but you can't force it no matter how wronged you feel. All the best .

Does the girl your friend contacted know it was him not you?   It seems odd to me to let someone use your socials to message someone. While it may be valid, my question is did you not think this could come back to you and your relationship.

Frankly people are losing it and calling way too much "cheating" and I feel it shows people are not sure of themselves or their relationships.   You cannot fix it unless you know the reason ... people assume it is one thing like the friend's messages, but it could be more like questioning your choice to let the whole thing spiral to begin with letting someone use your socials.

@TTKruIt’s normal to feel lost and sad after a sudden breakup, especially with confusion involved. Giving her space now is good. Use this time to reflect and stay calm. When you see her to pick up your things, keep the conversation gentle and honest. Apologize if needed and explain clearly what happened. Let her know you care but respect her feelings and needs. After that, give her time to decide what’s next. Focus on self-care and support from friends or family during this time. Would you like help preparing what to say when you see her?

Update on the matter :

Im at ease and wait patiently until the weekend. Before I left we agreed for me to get some of my stuff on saturday. Plan so far is to give her that space and radio silence and act respectful on saturday, Calm and put together, I wont bring the topic myself and let her take the steer.

Hope for the best
