Struggling to find a relationship
I've been looking for someone to fall in love with for a long time and haven't had much luck. The last few months I've been putting in more effort, and I thought I had found someone, but just got back from our second date feeling discouraged. It didn't feel like we had any connection at all, despite the effort I've made to get to know him. It makes me wonder if there's something wrong with me, if I should give up on the whole thing. Should I give it more time? I don't know. Just feeling a little down at the moment and not sure what to do next.

Relationships are not IMO like a job interview. Even if the person has the right attributes we are looking for...... without an organic connection it often does not work out well. Most when they try to fit someone into a relationship we find it empty.
Sometimes the one that will stick and be the best partner may not have all the boxes checked or look exactly like we had in mind etc. I takes time but if we get busy and not focused on it the person shows up. or at least in my experience.
