The Forest (Part 1)
Walking the forest, darkness around,
I lost my way...no one to be found.
I stumble through trees, fall to the ground,
Slip down a hill without a sound.
Bruised and alone, I still look ahead,
Seemingly forgotten, but not yet dead.
I rise and walk with heavy breath,
Each step feels closer to death. No light to guide, no air to breathe,
I wish, more than anything, to leave.
Then...far off...a distant gleam,
A quiet flicker, like a dream. I can't tell what it truly is,
But something says it’s what I miss.
It lights my path, and there she stands...
Her presence guiding with gentle hands. We walk together, out at last,
Leaving behind the haunted past.
Her light stays strong, it clears the way,
We face the dark, day by day. But one day, the light is gone...
