I am conducting a study, and would like to gather perspective from the group here. 1. how do you define Intimacy? 2. How do you show that to those around you? And do you find it hard to open up and have intimate relationships?

Intimacy for me is an extremely important topic in a conversation of what is it like to make love and have sex.

I think that I involve those around me that are special into the real of what sex is , the sexual void of the misunderstood.

To some that find it difficult to talk about sex and there are some of who started when we were kids like me.

I must have started when I was a young boy, I must have not known what to do with it, the heart and the entire tree of what is love.

To put it more simply love is what it is like to know what it is to be into Intimacy.

Those that are close to me don't seem so bothered as I do not bring up the subject I just don't hold it up into the light like that as a lovable heart has glowing properties.

Interesting topic.

I think emotional intimacy is opening yourself up to someone else. Sharing vulnerable parts of your life, your past, your wishes, your dreams, your successes and failures.

I actually find it pretty easy to open up and be emotionally intimate with some people, as long as I trust them. There are also different levels of emotional intimacy. You can be emotionally intimate with friendships and share personal stuff, and you can be emotionally intimate with intimate partners and that can feel especially vulnerable.

When you develop a strong emotinally intimate connection with someone, it can be super satisfying (and also pretty terrifying knowing that someone else knows your deep dark secrets!)

I hope that at least kind of answered your question.

Love the question.

I would just add to the "trust" comment.

While sexual intimacy falls under the umbrella of intimacy, I see it playing a role in all areas of a relationship.

In sexual intimacy, being able to be "naked" (literally and/or physically) requires trust.
