I’ve been in a relationship for 6/7 years now and I feel as if I haven’t been happy for quite a while now and I feel like we’re more like roommates now so I just want to know what other people think

@faithfulTalker2372 try to talk about it with your partner, maybe it's a lack of communication 💌 🌸 wish you the best!

I am sorry you are going through that.

Honestly relationships have ups and downs. regardless of time together. When in a time where things feel like we are not content is time to be able to communicate that to each other.  IMO people often try to assume or figure out by looking for issues. Identify the core issue before taking small things as the reason.

Only you know when it is over. i have seen too many end something based on a lull or stayed too long thinking it will get better, but you are living it you will know.

That you aren't happy.. I hope it's only in your relationship and not in general..

If you are here looking for a way, that probably means that you your partner or at least care for that person, and that is an excellent starting point, And I am going to give you humble opinion:

As to what to do, I feel in these situations there should be a progress of actions... You should approach this as any other decision, you gather the most information possible, Analyze the situation, and try to identify the best course of action...

In other words, First you should try to talk to your partner, Not with a conflictive approach but a concerned one.. in these situations I feel it's important to first express the importance that they have in your life, How much do you love them and value them, Because that is the fuel that will power any other action.. then you would express in the most honest way possible How you feel.. Then try to find out how the other person feels, and then see if you can come up With any change that would bring a solution..

If you can't Identify what the issue is, then of course you should definitely try professional counseling... And if after that you still feel unhappy, Then you would have to face the idea that the relationship is probably over and in order for both of you to have a chance to be, you would probably have to go in different ways...

Have a hug and good luck 😊
