alcoholic boyfriend broke up with me
i know this is a good thing, i could’ve never left him on my own. i gave him chance after chance with threats of breaking up with him… but he never stopped drinking and being mean/condescending towards me.
i know in the morning he will wake up and regret it. i’m scared i might take him back even though he has lied and hurt me multiple times. luckily we don’t live together, we’ve been together over a year.
i have bad abandonment issues. i’m scared of what im going to be without him.

Its great that you have a chance to break up with him if he dosent remember since he was under influence....
Next , even if you have abondonment issues , how long can you take your issues with him . 1yr/2yr/5yrs/10yrs or more and decide when you wish to finally overcome your issues. Obviously , you have a great opportunity to do it now.
By the way , he can only stop drinking either if he wish to or there is someone who dosent allow him to drink under any circumstances. Threats to make them stop drinking is waste of time. Plus it never works.

While you may still have feelings for him do not take him back if he comes around this is a great opportunity for you to Help him....... what i mean by that is any one with an addiction needs to reach a reality check that shows them how their drinking or substance abuse it really manifesting itself....
Only when they see they are NOT as fun or as in control when drunk etc maybe they see they need to stop.
