Bf and phone!

My boyfriend is amazing and super loyal. He's given me no reason not to trust him. I am F(22) and he is 23(M). But sometimes when he's on his phone in front of me if he goes to search something up or goes onto a random and he knows I can kinda see, he tilts it away in the slightest bit. Not enough where I can't see anything anymore, I can still see most of the screen so I am unsure why. Maybe that's just how he like holds his phone lol?? He types in his password in front of me, goes onto *** and shows me funny reels he sees and lets me watch them with him. He's even let my dad watch a video of his dog on his phone and let my dad hold it himself. It's just sometimes he tilts it the slightest way away for whatever reason. Anytime I ask to see something that's popped up on his phone or I see something and question it, he always shows me it right away and everytime it's been nothing. Overall, he doesn't necessarily hide it and has said to me "you can always look through my phone," but I can't seem to get over why sometimes he tilts it away. It could be just an instinct because otherwise he's always been open about showing me things, but these little moments make me wonder.

@anxioushealing

Hi Anxious, it's easy to get uncomfortable about small things in a relationship. After all, it's a big commitment. I think it might not be a bad idea to just ask your BF about it. You can say something like, "I'm not sure if I'm making a big deal out of nothing or whatever, but I'm curious about this..." Then see what he says. I think it should be said that just because youre in a relationship doesn't mean that you should know everything about the other person, so also keep that in mind. Maybe this can be the beginning of a conversation about what are appropriate boundaries in your relationship.

Some people just are used to holding phone a certain way it may be nothing,  if you can still sort of see does not sound like he is really hiding something.    Many other people who have secrets are more private with their phones.    Have you asked him out right?

I show people my phone for photos or video but i do not need or want them to read email or texts  over my shoulder etc.

I understand all to well what you are going through. I have been on again and off again with my boyfriend/fiance for over 20 years and no none knows me better. He was the only one, with family included that i thought i could trust whole heartedly. I have been in quite a few really bad physical, emotional, and mentally abusive relationship all of which he was somewhat there and knows what i have been though, so it goes without saying that i am mentally messed up. So when i started noticing my boyfriend doing the same thing i started questioning it also. He did the same thing- let me look at his phone anytime i wanted, even let me hold it and do whatever whenever i felt like i needed to. He told me he wanted to prove to me that he wouldnt hurt me and that he loved me and if thats what it took then he would do it. One thing i have stressed to mine is to NEVER and i mean NEVER lie to me about ANYTHING WHAT-SO-EVER! That even though it might hurt me i will accept it for what it is and respect the fact that he respected me as a person enough to be honest with me and we would work through it. That i knew my mental state and i do not want to become the person i will if i EVER catch him lying to me. And for 21/2 years everything was going good but part of my past come up and unfortunetely something from my past come up ( which he was 100% in the know about ) and i had to be incarcerated for a 11 months and during that incarceration we had some difficult times. I dont know about you but when things arnt going right expecially with my man i dont know how to explain it exactly other than i can feel it. Its just this feeling that i dont know how to explain. Well come to find out once i got out things are not the same. I found out about 1 week after i got out that he had a woman at our house and i told him about 3 days after i come home that i wasnt accusing him of cheating on me but there was something i wasnt getting the whole truth about, i could feel it. Of course he denied it but once i got the proof i confronted him and he tried to turn it around like he was doing it because he didnt think it was the right time with what all i had going on at that time. But anyway ever since that come out it has been like one thing after another.... B.S after B.S... and i am starting to see that the man i fell in love with wasnt the man i thought he was at all. He was just either really good at covering things up or i was just that blinded by love. Gulible, Naive, and Innocent.... Basically what i am saying is although it is a good thing he is willing to show you whatever, dont let love blind you. Go with your gut. A womans intuition is NOTHING to play with. I REALLY do wish you guys nothing but the best! Hopefully its just my past as the reason i trust no one because i know there are still good ones out there they are just few and far in between... BEST OF LUCK
