I am with my bf for 1,5 year we match perfectly but I sometimes rather lay on the couch then to do another task in the house (I do alot I work 40h, do laundry, cooking mostly , ironing,...) but when it's 8pm I rather lay down instead of cleaning some more.

He is constructing our house still so he does alot and he gets frustrated. I putted more effort and it was fine...

3 weeks ago I got an operation and i still feel weak so I rest more then usual, last night he got frustrated not saying a word and leaving me sleeping on the couch

I tried to talk with him today but he says I just say sorry and don't change although I really am at my limits I feel exhausted at work....

I don't know how to change his mind and I am scared he will break up with me.

I love him so much but this drives me crazy

Any advice?

@Confusedyoungadult1996 Are you telling him how you feel how exhausted you are? If you dont tell someone how you feel they are likely to assume your feeling fine and if you tell a person your sorry that does imply that you believe you did something wrong and intend to change it so saying sorry is also an unspoken promise that you will change what your saying your sorry for and when you dont do that it could be seen as what you agreed to do or lying and this could have a very negative effect on a relationship of course a person repeatedly saying they will do something and not doing it. I would suggest to stop apologizing you really dont believe your doing anything wrong by resting when you feel tired and your right! you have every right to rest when your feeling tired you do put in effort you work and you just had an operation so your putting in as much effort as you can and deserve to rest when your body needs rest. It could be his frustration had more to do with constructing the house and the stress from that although it could be directed at you the best thing to do would be to talk to him about everything find a time when he is not busy and let him know you want to talk to him and explain you saying sorry to him was because you were feeling worried he would leave (or whatever caused you to apologize its best to be truthful) but your at your limits and doing your best and your tired and will rest when your tired and shouldnt have apologized for it because that was also saying you would change.

Hello there!

I read your post and i understand your situation, you're already doing your best to be supportive and helpful around the house. And because of your operation, you feel like you can't more of that job anymore, which is understandable. But have you tried talking to him about it? I mean... does he know about the operation, you being frustrated and stressed because of work?
