Help understanding

I don't understand what I do wrong.

Was just talking about the new 90s show, he knows I didn't really watch and didn't like that 70s show.

He was just telling me about it and I was listening I didn't know who a person was on it so was trying to think and was confused. Then not even sure because it doesn't really matter it's a TV show.

I said a few things and then said I tried to watch it and get into it but never could, even when I started smoking weed it didn't make it any funnier.

He said it wasn't just a weed show and tons of people like it I always just have to go on and on when I hate something over a few comments not really full on hating like I sometimes can do.

The only point I was trying to make was I didn't like other shows when I started smoking weed and then found them funny but didn't with this. I felt like he didn't understand so said I don't think you understood what I was saying, but said he did.

I have trouble communicating and have been trying to make sure I'm understood because I don't feel like I am a lot.

I do have strong opinions and probably do hate on things more than I should ..but I'm also trying to work on myself and being able to talk more and feel like I'm understood.

Basically I started crying over this and feel like *** now.

Was having an ok day and trying to do house chores I usually have a hard time with because of depression or anxiety but now I lost all that motivation.

@srs1992

It is frustrating when instead of just understanding another persons vision partners somehow think they can explain it to you and make you see something ......

my spouse does this a lot when he dislikes something it is DEAD to us if a show i do not get or WANT to get he wants me to watch again and again like i somehow missed the point...... You are correct it was a TV show not important enough to disagree about.
