Loving Someone
To love is to give.
Before you can care and be there for someone, and brighten their world through your presence, you need to have that inner poise and calmness -you need to be good at loving yourself.
What do you do, or can do, to grow in self-love?
I invite you to share.
May we be best lovers, and in time, come to be loved.

I'm learning to practice meditation and Yoga. Music and Singing are also very therapeutic for me.
Im currently now taking time to myself to love me and only me. I lost my love for music and that is something very important to me so now I will starr focusing on things that makes me happy like nature,reading, and making music. It takes time but I will fully commit to myseif and uplift myself. Hopefully then myself and my relationship will become better.
@Fristo
i journal and draw
i listen to music that matches my emotions so i feel like im understood
i play guitar
I like to write in my journal while listening to music.
I recently lost a friendship because i was putting too much on her emotionally.
i want to do more inner work so that i don’t burn my friends out ♥️
i need to spend more time with myself. Not just by myself, but wiTh myself. I often think I’m “too busy” to invest in me.
Nature walks. Journaling. Reading. Prayer. Meditation.
I miss these things.
I've been struggling to find my passion recently. Sounds funny right? A passion cannot be found with force and pressure, It must be something natural. A Ted talk inspired me to start a "joy journal" instead of searching for a passion. I write about what helps me feel joy everyday so I can find out what actually "feels" good to me. I think many of us have lost that connection with our feelings. I hope this journal helps.
Listen to others who repeat self love mantras helps me the most. Also music.
I play video, card, and board games. I watch YouTube and Twitch. I listen to music. I read. I meditate. I journal. I nap. I bury myself in work or hobbies or friends.
I've made a lot of progress since I lost a friendship that meant the world to me. I've graduated from college. I have a stable job. I live on my own and have my own car. I have new friendships.
I'm not happy. I'm still not happy. I miss my friend every day. There's an all-consuming void in my heart that swallows every achievement and activity with "but she's not here to see it."
And it gets in the way of my own attempts to take care of myself. How can I have any worth or deserve any care when I can be so repulsive as to do easily be disposed? I can't. I try and I just can't.
@Fristo
I light candles and make sure I drink enough water. I make sure I get enough sleep and healthy food. I take time to relax and be with my family. It's not always easy, but I'm doing it.
