Loving Someone
To love is to give.
Before you can care and be there for someone, and brighten their world through your presence, you need to have that inner poise and calmness -you need to be good at loving yourself.
What do you do, or can do, to grow in self-love?
I invite you to share.
May we be best lovers, and in time, come to be loved.

I take walks in the woods by myself.
I color.
But need more ideas on self care.
@Riverview208
Try making a list of things you like about yourself and things you want to work on. Establishing strong self-goals is key to raising self esteem. Also, surrounding yourself with good friends helps as well.
I believe in you!!! 💘💘
I don't do anything
@Fristo I am learning to listen to myself more, my inner feelings, what am I really feeling and why; what do I want, what are my priorities. I am learning that if someone tries to put me down it's not necessarily true what they say about me. It's not even about me. I am learning that I should not put up with situations that are toxic to me. I am learning that I matter, that my opinions matter. If that person thinks I am not worthy or calls me obnoxious because I don't agree with them or have an opinion, I don't agree with that. I am being accused that I am arrogant. I am not. I tried to cooperate with someone but I came to the realization, this isn't really what I wanted. I was manipulated into doing things I didn't want. It caused me a lot of stress. I am starting to realize I could have put an end to it. The reason I didn't is because I was lonely. I wanted to believe the nicer things this person was telling me. I wanted to believe the lies and the bs. My gut feeling was telling me something was wrong. I don't know why I continued. I wanted to be loved, I wanted a relationship.
@Fristo One of the best ways I know how to love myself is to journal! Taking the time to write out all my thoughts for the day—including the negative ones—allows me to free up my brain from all that inner chatter! It also gives me a chance to reflect on those thoughts in the future!
@JVBarela I agree with you, sometimes you need to confess to yourself in order to feel relieved and learn about your heart and mind.
Just never stop doing what I love. I will do whatever it makes me happy, what defines my personality.
@Fristo
interesting concept perhaps those struggling in relationships.... also struggle with being happy with and loving themselves .....
I have been evaluating some things lately and this might be a puzzle piece i had over looked ..... i have made some improvements in myself health and self image and my relationship with myself ........and now i have some questions about how i feel about some others in my life ......
@Fristo
Dear me,
It's okay to feel emotions, it's completely okay to feel overwhelmed at times! We are all humans and we constantly try to learn and grow to ascend in our journeys. Things always happen for the best and time always heals too🧡🌻
Read a book, drink your favorite coffee, listen to music, write more in your journal, watch something that relaxes your mind, be with your thoughts, take a calming walk amidst nature under that beautiful sky: somewhere out there, someone is looking up at the sky just like you, pondering upon life and thinking if you're doing the same... You got this, you always have and you always will!
Above all, remind yourself that taking self care breaks is completely okay and so essential!
Yours lovingly,
Tina🧡
Meditation clearing my mind be positive love myself
@Fristo First thing in the morning, I sit all by myself on the balcony of my 2nd Floor apartment facing a park listening to bird songs. I often read or do nothing just enjoying the breeze,listening and feeling. Later in the day I walk while listening to some audio book. I take off often, go to places I don't know to ruminate on those memories when I am alone.
I paint. It is quite frankly my biggest escape these days. I love to express how I feel in paintings rather than words sometimes. I find that I don’t communicate well to others. So in a way painting is kind of like my voice.
