Narcissistic Abuse
It’s so hard to believe that the person you fail in love with, never existed. It just created so much pain and chaos. But it explains how someone that loves you could intentionally want to hurt you. In retrospect, they didn’t because they never loved you. I just got out of a 6 yr marriage and feel like I just awoke from a coma. Everything is so surreal. Is this common?

very well put....
i cannot imagine what a person gets from treating others like that but there are many who do....they do NOT love they see a mark to manipulate .... they are charming they can fake love and feelings and the hurt goes so deep .... i would not wish that on anyone
So my ex of 4years turned out to be an abuser. Liar. The whole relationship is based on a lie. I know this person future faked , he said he loves you. And he never take accountability on the fact that he hurt you. And there was never a closure, he betrayed you and he don’t give a damn on it. Triangulate you with the new girl! It’s a one sided relationship, it’s hard to accept at the beginning. You’ll be full of resentment even blame yourself why you allowed yourself end up like this ? Don’t doubt yourself they are just too sneaky to spot and they exploited our kindness and trust. Take time to learn about their pattern and work on yourself. Stay no contact or you’ll have to go back to the healing process from zero again. That’s my personal experience. Keep in mind your ex will never change. Focus on yourself, do everything that please you.

Yes many times and I had taken lots of time in listening to videos that relate to narcissistic traits and behavior.
