waiting for the Right time

An observation:

If you read through many posts here..........really in all the communities ....... maybe look at issues you may have had in your life ....... I am betting many problems are from waiting for the "right time".........to address them.

the right time to tell someone what they mean to you....

the right time to let someone down easy..... or let them know truth

the right time to speak up about something ...... the right time to intervene......the right time to stand up for yourself and be HEARD.

We all do this myself included no judgement about it just a friendly suggestion to be aware and make adjustments in your own life.

Saving others feelings while hurting or destroying your own is IMO wrong.

There is no right time ...... mostly I see people looking back asking what went wrong ? when did this happen ..... If i could go back and on and on.

The most common suggestion of course is talk about it see a therapist .......fine hope that helps some rehashing would've /could've moments.

but in all the time spent looking backward you are not MOVING forward........... blurting out every thought also problematic .......but especially in relationships ....... We should be able to see/ feel issues and kicking it down the road seldom helps and perhaps if partner says this is not the right time ....... you need to say when is because stall....... no longer works for me.

We should be able to say we need this issue cut out like a cancer or fixed before it spreads....

To me, waiting for the "right" time .. seems like saying.......... "oh yeah there is a fire but so far it is contained in kitchen .....we can call fire department if it spreads......."

Hello!

This is an interesting perspective. Many times, we do tend to procrastinate to wait for the right time to do something. I also love the analogy you provided. This discussion should definitely get people thinking. Thanks for sharing with community! <3 ๐Ÿ˜Š

do you know what happens when you wait for the right time...... NOTHING

no progress no growth just a cancer on whatever the issue is......... i too waited and now the body is dead ... stinking up the room and there is no last minute saving it.......

we spoke of this as a possibility but both assumed the other was just being dramatic ..... nope it is OVER / dead / finished ........ such a weird feeling as i type one of relief of being OK no longer mourning something that will never be better ...........

where did thing go wrong no one knows just like waiting for the "right time" to address things ... looking back more often then not we cannot identify the exact time things went bad for the last time.

Agree.

We tend to postpone, and then all of a sudden there is no way back.

Why postpone?

Because we are afraid?

Telling ourselves we don't want to hurt. Or is it actually we don't want to hurt ourselves. Don't dare to confront ourselves.

I sincerely believe in openness and honesty. Not being open and honest will definitely hurt, hurt you. And another person involved too

Not being honest and open creates stories that start to lead their own life. Becoming "truth". Causing damage. Mistrust.

Be open, be honest. Speak your heart. Express how you feel, without judging, stay with your own feelings and yours only. No one can judge your feelings, and you have nothing to loose by being vulnerable and all to gain

How it turns out is irrelevant.
