ABDL: Afraid of reaction

I recently got off of the phone with the girl who I love dearly, and we were playing a game where we asked each other sexual questions. One of them was "what is your most odd fetish?" And I wanted to try and tell her so I tried dropping hints and she eventually asked me in a disgusted voice if I was into ABDL. I was so afraid of the reaction if I said yes because of fear and the stigma around this fetish so I just ended up saying "not really." I feel like I made the wrong choice by saying not really because it's not really a fetish, it's a part of who I am as a person deep down. The stigma around it along with the way she mentioned it made me feel terrible. I think that she thinks ABDL has to do with children or something, and it has nothing to do with children at all.

I need help, because telling her would make me feel like I got something off of my chest, but I don't know how she would react with how she might think of the fetish. Are there any ways that I can tell her while telling her the truth about the fetish?

Idk what to do, it's really eating at me and the feeling isn't letting me sleep.

If she knows what ABDL means then I think you can certainly tell her how you feel. I had to look it up blush

Maybe talking to a listener here will help you to stop it eating at you so you can get some sleep. If you'd like to chat to me, feel free to send me a message.

I've dabbled a little in this and I can guarantee it has nothing to do with children.

I actually stumbled across DL stuff when I was 13ish, I think. No idea why, but it's a pretty solid turn on for me. Same with Omo and pee stuff. Scat is kind of hit or miss. I've watched some that I liked, but a lot of it kind of turned me off.

I can relate on the shame feelings though. It's something I've battled with for a while, and while I don't really consider myself an AB, it is a turn on for me, and if I ever met a girl that wanted to try it, then I'm game. Would make for some interesting role-playing.

Until then I keep it to myself.

@Chairpillow I'm sorry you are having a hard time with this, and I'm sorry there is a stigma around this. There is nothing wrong with you, and you have no reason to feel bad about your fetish. As I understand this, ABDL is about an adult feeling a lot of pressure and wanting to go back to an earlier easier time in life. I'm not saying that this is thought out consciously, but I suspect that is the psychology behind it. I wish you luck, and I hope the girl you love can learn to understand.

i agree with the post above that this fetish may result from a deeper rooted psychological issue. perhaps consulting a therapist would be appropriate, especially if you think this is part of your identity as you mentioned. that being said, if the girl knew what abdl is, i wouldnt be surprised if shes thought about it. maybe she said it in a disgusted way to test you. i dont see nothing wrong with it, its quite funny to me actually. think of it like a halloween costume for a date night.
