Now I will add some phrases, that validates their feelings and emphatizes with them.

- Thanks for opening up about this, I understand this topic it's very delicate. (Or something along those lines)

Recognizing this way, that they are being vulnerable and also looking for help despite being a topic that is a taboo.

- It's awful they made fun of you. It makes sense you felt hurt and are afraid that happens again.

- Sounds frustrating not being able to stop this urges.

- How long struggling with this? (Sometimes it will be years)

- What do you do when the urges comes? What have you tried to cope with these urges?

- Any idea of what to try next to cope with these urges? Anything in mind?

* In my experience is very close with intrusive thoughts. I think it will useful to keep this in mind.

Note: Avoid advices, if you are going to suggest an idea let them know it's up to them (careful with this gray area). There are many good threads about avoiding advice, good to read!

Also, very understandable if you want them to avoid do something that you know very likely they are going to regret, peer supports are always around. You can lean on them. Or switch to your member account. Keep in mind. So deep breath and let them live their experience. Be there for them when they make a mistake or cheer them if they progressed.

* Let them know this space is confidential. Also, remember no pressure for them to talk. Patience my friend, it can be hard for them.
