Hi, not sure if this is the right place to post this. But I literally just noticed that I was spotting not that long ago And that can mean so many things but the most common sign of that is pregnancy. For context, I just had a baby 4 months ago and me and my partner just got back into sex recently. Now I am on birth control and we have been using condoms for extra protection. I just got off my last period about a week or 2 ago so seeing this spotting is getting me kind of paranoid. What are the chances of me getting pregnant AGAIN right after a period, while being on birth control and using condoms? I don't wanna freak out over something that's probably nothing. But the last time this happened I ended up brushing it off and next thing I know I have a baby 12 months later. Any insight will be useful right now and idk I just needed to get this off my chest cause I'm psyching myself out right now

Have you been using any other contraception?

Also did any of your condoms break and have you been tracking your cycle?

Yes I track my cycle always and as far as I know, no none of them broke. I'm not using any other form of birth control other than the pill that I've been on for about a month and condoms. I shouldn't be having another period since I JUST got off of my last one nearly a week or so ago. And my tracker doesn't tell me when I'm ovulating because it's tracking my birth control pill usage as well.

@NovaCat227

It sounds like ovulation spotting. After all, if you had your period 1/2 weeks ago, this would be the right time to ovulate and spotting can happen. If you've been using pill and condoms which didn't break it's extremely unlikely for you to be pregnant!

However, you can talk about it with your gynecologist, search for any other possible causes of bleeding and possibly discuss other contracceptive method if you don't feel safe enough now. You can ever consider tubal ligation, or your partner can consider a vasectomy (which is reversible). Anyway, I think the reason you're feeling so anxious is partly because it's a very stressful time for you, with a little kid and all the duties and worries that come with it. I'm sure you'll figure things out and you'll feel better!

Thank you so much. Idk if that might be it but atleast I have another possible reason other than just possible pregnancy. I have never bled before ovulation but I also had no idea that could happen because of ovulation. But I think I'll for sure get checked just in case. Thank you for that info
