necrophilia
i don't really know how to put this but i'm wondering what people here think of necrophilia/necrophiliacs. just so i can get a general idea of how accepted it is.

@TransAm85 i'm not really sure but i like the idea of an unmoving, unresponsive person. that sounded a lot weirder than it did in my head oops.

@TransAm85 Why is it that the pedophiles need "drastic help"? What makes you judge them differently as if it was the worst possible thing? This kind of stigma and judgement is what keeps the vast majority of non-offending pedophiles from seeking help to cope with their attractions and just feeling like they're better off dead even though they have never hurt anyone. That's all being a pedophile means is that you have a sexual attraction that you did not choose (which the vast majority of pedos don't want) towards children, just like necrophilia is an unchosen sexual attraction.
Being a pedophile does not mean you are a child rapist, being a child rapist means you are a pyschopath and those are the ones that need drastic help to stop them from hurting people.

I can't say I understand you cause I don't. It may have to do with the fact you need to have a lot of control? However, I can understand you may get through a lot of rejection from people as soon as they found out about it.

In my country it considered is an illegal act and so punished if practiced. Just as pedophelia. But as with many other fetishes, it isn't something people do try to know more about.
May I ask, is that something that is your preference? If yes, how did you discover it? In a society like ours, it's hard to even open a thread about some things so be proud of yourself for having the courage to ask. Take care.
@cristiana33 hey this is op here, i forgot to write down my login info since i used a temporary email thing. i don't actually do anything with corpses since it's illegal here as well. i found out about necrophilia from reading a creepypasta (of all places, right? XD) and i couldn't stop thinking about it until i realized i was actually into it.

I don't think it's all that accepted, based on how many countries have made it illegal.
There are probably more people who are interested in it than are willing to admit though, as it is often seen as taboo and/or illegal.
@goldenBlueberry2916 - I think that fetishes are very natural and while this one is particularly misunderstood or 'frowned upon' by society, that doesn't mean there's anything wrong with you, especially since you have drawn a line between feeling this (nothing you feel is wrong) and acting on it, which as you said is illegal where you are. In terms of being able to have a sex life you are satisfied with, it might be worth exploring a couple questions - is this the only thing that you are turned on by, or is it one of many and you can still feel comfortable in other situations? Are there elements of this that appeal to you that might be possible in a different situation (e.g., if it's something about the completely still, that may be possible with a living partner, etc.)? Do you feel that this currently gets in your way or is just a facet of you you're exploring right now?

Hey there. You can't control people's thoughts or reactions. Everyone is free to respond but we try to keep it as supportive as possible when we see comments that can harm the person who shared what they feel. Probably unpopular opinion here, but in the same way people say homosexuality can't be helped while others swear theres something wrong with them, same goes for the negative sexualities as necrophilia and pedophilia, the reason people support homosexuality is because it's two consenting people and gender doesn't matter in love ( then there is of course bad relationships in homosexuality aswell in hetero relations so thats more person to person then the sexuality ) however when it comes to the "philia" sexualities, aka the bad sexualities is when there will be more of a negative impact, most likely there are extremly few who want their dead loved ones to be fucked and while that person was alive they surely wouldn't want their dead bodies harassed in such a way, even tough they are dead and wouldn't know it's still a matter of respecting the person they were.
So in general, no necrophilia is not accepted, any sexuality ending with "philia" is the bad ones, and those ending with "sexual" is the good ones, so logically, as much as one can help being heterosexual one can help being a necrophiliac, which is most likely not much, some just pull the short straw in life.
Is there something wrong with the people who has a sexuality ending with philia? Not neccesarily, some surely but some heteros are insane too so, however it's for the best to not act it out due to the negative impacts.
Fetishism is common. There is a fetish for everything. If you can think of it, someone is sexually aroused by it. With that being said, there are some fetishes that are harmful or illegal. Please keep in mind that people ARE NOT born with fetishes as they are a sexuality. Fetishes are aquired based on environments, experiences, and exposure. That is why there are so many different kinds of fetishes. Fetishes are learned through various ways. It is important to see a therapist if your fetish is causing problems in your life or if it is illegal. A trained arousal management therapist will be able to help decrease the unhealthy arousal and increase the healthy arousals.
It seems to me that since you are not hurting anyone, there is nothing wrong wtih this fetish.
