Doorknob Bullying story
Background:
So I have this story, and I can remember the story very well. I hadn't thought of it since I told my now-online only day program the story once pre-Covid. But the memory of this story came back to me today, because of Molly Burke's podcast, and them and today (Friday May 15th)'s guest for the podcast and they talked about tail bone injuries. It made me grateful the doorknob bulling I experience didn't leave me more disabled then I already was at the time.
Story:
I was in Gr. 8 it was the end of the day either you went home or you played on the playground. I was emptying my water bottle in the classroom sink and putting it away in my backpack. I'm not sure if I heard the classroom door closed. But whatever the reason was, I turned around and 3 out of the 5 boys who bully me were outside in the hall and apparently they're holding the door close on that side. Once I saw them doing that, I'm tugging at the doorknob on the inside of the classroom to get them to open up the door. I don't recall how long I was tugging for, because at some point they let go, on the other side and I flew partly across the back of the classroom. I somehow landed in a way I believe something like a sitting position or close to it- and that and two other factors at the time, prevented me from getting permanently disabled.
@Disneywoman
😔
That sounds terrifying.
I highly dislike bullies.
I'm sorry you had to go through this, through no fault of your own!

@Amanda84 Yeah it was terrifying at the time. And also I could have knocked my head, due to my own coat rack (which is another story, why I had the coat rack in the first place) I have another story don't worry it has a good ending and my thoughts about why I did X (don't want to spoil the story) I'm writing on another thread
