I've been struggling in my ldr relationship. We met online and really hit it off, after three months of a lot of back and forth we started dating. First month was fun, I got a lot of attention and I felt like I was a big part of his life. We live very far apart and due to covid it's just too pricey to visit each other. I did say qe could meet during summer time, but seeing as traveling is still a hassle, we might have to postpone that. He started getting more and more distant, saying he's more busy than before and now we send some texts here and there and talk once a week. I've been trying to communicate that I want to talk more, but talking in I statement and how I feel doesn't seem to get my point across. He'll say I need to be more realistic and that he'll try to talk more. So he did text a little more than before, but I still feel like he's put me on the back burner. He says he loves me very much and that he just isn't good with time management and planning. On which I call bullshit, never said that to him like that, but come on you make time to talk to people you like. I just feel like he isn't interested as much even though he does say he loves me and he tries to put more effort in. I still feel like the kind of attention I need isn't something he can give me right now. But do I wait it out in the hope that he gets less busy and hopefully will be able to talk more or are my hopes too high or should I just give up on this relationship and say it just isn't the best timing and messes me up too much. I don't even know anymore.

I feel you so much. I am going through the same thing and on the edge of letting him go. And yet we are living in same city and our house are like 15mins away for real. But he kept giving me reasons. Like very busy etc etc. We talk less and less. We meet less and less. He doesn't even stop by my house to pick up food that i cook for him. But i know he is not lying when he says busy because i check up (without him knowing) and he really is working and is busy but i mean come on! Why can't you even make time or manage better. I have a very demanding career too but i manage better than him. I feel like i am taken for granted. Any guy would be lucky to have me. But he doesn't even appreciate and keep me in the back burner. I'm waiting for the right time to confront him and end this if i need to because i know i don't deserve this kind of treatment. You are not alone Ocean. Hang on there. Hope it works out for you soon.
