Yes it always is especially if it's something or someone dear we are moving on from.

Of course it's easier said than done, if it were easy, it wouldn't be an issue ;)

That being said, moving on is more so about letting go. As people we generally don't like change and so we hold on to what we know, what we're used to, what we're comfortable and familiar with. Once something we've identified with is taken away from us, we feel as though we've lost a part of ourselves... and in a sense you have. You've lost something that you've identified with in your mind. Moving on only comes when you realize that everything has a time, a birth, and a death, and change is not a bad thing; It's just change. In order to become who you will be, you have to let go of who you were and that, I think, is what we have the hardest time with when it comes to moving on. It will still be hard to do because emotions are a strong driving force but the more you are aware of it and accept change as a positive and inevitable part of life, then you can at least expedite the process.

It is easier said than done, but moving on does not necessarilymean that you are "just over something" and it is gone.It its a time when you can be comfortable with yourself after something traumatic has happened and it is no longer causing you distress or pain. The things that happen in our lives cannot truly be "moved on" from. They will be there in memory, reminding us how strong we have become from it. Moving on from something is a process and takes time. We all must heal in our own ways, and find the place that we can live in contentment.

Yes moving on is easier said than done. The process of doing it and enduring the pain of it is a lot harder than just saying it.

it is posted in the surviving breakup and divorce category so i guess u asked in conext of relationships.moving on is never easy cos there are so many "may be's" and "if's and buts".. it always needs time. however people having enough experience of relationships are able to move on quickly.

No its not easy... but its not impossible also... sometimes people get reasons to move on..some do not get... and moving on actually doesn't mean that you're again into a relationship... it Is actually accepting everything... I agree ...memories have a lot of burden... but its not that hard to get out of it... we should always give life some chances... Nothing is impossible. .. #always love yourself nd be happy... :)...

Moving on is definitely not easy. We cling to relationships I think because of so many reasons. We don't like change. Not being in a relationship says something about who we are (unlovable, unworthy, not good enough). Losing contact with someone we love is heartbreaking and emotional, especially after you have been with that person for a long time. That person will always be a part of our lives and who we are.

But like Stranger says, it's not impossible to move on. It's hard to accept the relationship is over, and they're not always easy. But we can move onwards, and upwards.

More than the fear of change, I personally have a hard time letting go because when someone is in my life; I dedicate myself to them. When they leave, they take a part of me with them and like others have said, it's hard to let go of.

Moving forward when leaving something you love behind is always going to be hard but it's great when you find the spot in your heart where you can hold whatever you're leaving behind.

I agree with you... but you must always keep yourself above from everyone... you must always keep in mind the reason behind any breakup... if the reasons are strong enough then clinging around won't help... Always give that special place to someone whom you think is worthy of that place.. silently judge everyone but remember your heart is very special you must not give that place to anyone... it has to be someone very special ... :) I know breakups are very tough ... getting out of it is tougher.... but its better to go through a break up than going through a divorce if that person becomes a family... Everything happens for a reason... today you might not understand but one youll agree the decision was worthwhile... Hope this helps a little...

Nothing can be accomplished in a day. But we should try something positive every day to be where we wish to be. One step at a time.

I agree! one step at a time!its definitely possible eventually, but it doesnt happen just right away.it can be reallyhard, but i think it happens with time, and its not something to force yourself to do!
