When do you call it quits?

So my boyfriend and I have been together for 9 months now and he has been looking for jobs outside of the state. We don't live together but I come over 4-5 days of the week. He has already said that is too much. Long story short. I had asked him if he thought about moving out of state for the other job and he said yes. And I asked if maybe we could move in together. And he said he had never thought about it. There's a lot of stuff that happened in our relationship to make me lose trust and make me feel that I'm a place holder in the relationship. Although he always says I'm not. I just don't know what to do.
