Pretentions

Why everyone pretending to be strong , when actually its just situational. Why people harm each other? Why can't there be a win win long term... Why everyone is trying to win loss short term game.. Life feel heavy  to deal with when everyone pretends to be wat they r not

Maybe being pretentious at some level is like trying to live and wish for a hopeful life, a sprinkle of of it isn't harmful, till it comes a complete delusion , where you are just a straight up liar and a hypocrites. Robbing ppl of there innocence and taking advantage of there incapability.

@BurningSpiritual1only If everyone was Truthful, both to themselves and others, the world would be a much better place.

i think about this question a lot. for such a long time i felt like i was alone with my feelings and everyone else seemed to just automatically know what to do and say and they didnt' understand why i had a problem. but over time i found out they had many of the same problems i had. it makes me angry that i had to go through it alone for no good reason. i try to make sure nobody else has to feel alone the way i did

@blueHuman3349 it happens sometimes we don't know.. How our thoughts confined us to believe something.. And masses make us believe more into it

there are different people and they do this because of their different perspectives and motives in thier life. everyone pretends to be strong because some fear if they don't others will harm the, and besides its a human nature if two individuals are growing together with each others help.... if our emotions are not neutralized or balanced one ca feel superior or may develop feelings of jealousy or superiority than another so there can't be a win win situation in that case for long term. and living with these kind of people is hard i get it.... but  focusing on yourself and working on self awareness and growth  helped me in attracting healed persons in my life.

Dear friends, what thoughtful and sincere reflections you share. Conversations like this are truly valuable—I learn a lot from voices like yours. Allow me to share a few reflections from my own perspective.

When I see people striving to appear greater than they are, trying to wear masks that do not belong to them, I am reminded of a simple truth: we do not even possess control over a single moment of our lives. For a life so fragile and fleeting, to twist and turn in endless pretenses feels like a burden heavier than the truth itself.

And then another thought comes to mind: the only being who knows with certainty that it will die is the human being—yet he lives as though he will never die. He says, ‘I am this, I am that, this world depends on me.’ But the graveyards stand as silent witnesses, filled with those who once believed they were indispensable.

Perhaps the root of this heaviness you feel lies here: when life is seen as temporary yet lived as if it were permanent, hearts become restless, and relationships turn into short-term gains and losses.

But there is another way—a deeper way. The true value of life is not in winning over others, nor in appearing strong, but in transforming this fleeting life into something everlasting. When one lives with this awareness, the need to harm, to compete blindly, or to pretend begins to fade.

Then, instead of a ‘win-lose’ world, a more meaningful harmony becomes possible—one rooted not in illusion, but in truth, sincerity, and a shared journey toward something eternal.

Perhaps what we truly seek is not strength in appearance, but honesty in being.

most of the time when people are hurting someone else they are not doing it intentionally..

there is some selfishness and they are just seeing their profit and others loss might not be visable to them. they do not think that they are going to hurt someone. someone is going to cry because of their actions.

some kindness can change everything.

if the person is kind enough and strong enough to see the other person's pov. it might get better.
