I feel weak
My iman dwindles day by day by day
I still love God and want to heal and try
but i have been unbearably lonely as a man and i have grown weak
i do not pray anymore or read quran, i rarely even do tasbih
ive lost my health and my academic success
does any practicing muslim now how to return to Allah(swt) with sincerity? I want to become a hafiz but i havent even read the whole qur'an yet
@Mahd12, My dear brother,
The fact that you are saying “My iman is getting weaker” is not a sign of losing faith — it is a sign that faith is still alive in your heart. A dead heart does not feel pain.
Allah says in the Qur’an:
"Do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins." (39:53)
Loneliness, weakness, loss of health, loss of success… these are not signs that Allah has abandoned you.
Sometimes they are signs that Allah wants to bring His servant closer to Him.
The Prophet ﷺ said:
"When Allah loves a servant, He tests him."
And Bediuzzaman Said Nursi explains that weakness, poverty, and helplessness are actually the doors that lead a person to Allah. When a person feels strong, he forgets. When he feels weak, he turns back.
You say you stopped praying, stopped reading Qur’an.
Then return with something small.
Pray one prayer.
Read one page.
Say one tasbih.
Allah does not ask perfection.
He asks sincerity.
Even the desire to become a hafiz is a sign that your heart is still connected to the Qur’an.
Do not look at how far you fell.
Look at the door that is still open.
Allah never closes His door. Never.
