I am not Muslim yet, yet I aim to revert in the future. Do you think Ramadan will be a perfect ocassion to someone like me? My plan is to fast, read the Quran and try to understand the community and faith each day, as a journey of self introspection

I see you're going to do well!

And allow me to ask, can you spend Ramadan in a Muslim country? This will benefit you a lot.

@Fatmaisasoup Oh, I am afraid I can't, my economy doesn't let me such luxury, but it would have been a life changing travel, I assure you! I am also afraid there is not Ummah in my city, so I might have this self introspection all alone... I don't see it as a bad thing, honestly, how many important men stayed in loneliness, studying and thinking?

Oh, I see.

It's okay you can join online conversations with Muslim brothers and you'll feel like you're not alone, or watch a live stream of people breaking their fast together. I always see such types of videos on YouTube.

I also strongly advise you to watch “El Haram El Makky” in Saudi Arabia live in the television, it is a charming feeling.

I wish you fortitude.

Dear Fatima.

@FutureTeacher301  mashallah   yes dear ramadan is the best time not only for reverts but also for all the muslims to get closer ,learn and explore the whole thing like from the Qu'ran to salah to ur connection with Allah swt    u can watch some scholars or get in touch with one irl if thats possible for u  they can help u understand better by breaking things  in simpler words   . I wish u all the best  and u can always keep coming to this post for further discussions

@Thvcoreslay Thank you so much for your positive wishes. I am preparing myself mentally for this month, at least to have a moment of peace, to control my emotions and understand my heart, to listen to it and find out what kind of bond I want with this faith.

@Thvcoreslay what is the most meaningful part of ramadan?

Thvcoreslay OP February 28th, 2025

@soulsings  ramadan is all about self reflection this month is like a mirror that helps u see ur past actions and future resolutions the prayer the peace humbles u and u get the urge to do better to not repeat the same mistakes again . Basically this one month is for repentance for me i ask myself how was i last ramadan and are there any positive changes this ramadan? so yeah this is the most meaningful part 💕

@Thvcoreslay that sounds very helpful. When I look at my shortcomings I can devise ways to improve in the future.
