Hello everyone!

@Lucy2 has done such an amazing job running the Q & A team, she is now expanding to all adults to submit their very own question to be considered in the Q & A Section of the website for a limited time!

Check it out here!

Submit one question, tag two other Listeners to submit two more questions

@Dillion

I am unsure about this project. I thought the Q&A section is for specific questions from our members? However, I didn't find the place where I could submit a question from my member account.

I am finding trouble understanding how can we use the Q&A section and who can actually submit questions. So I can know if I can/want to contribute to this initiative that seems pretty cool.

@cristiana33 this is something new to my understanding from @Lucy2 who is leading the project. This is in a public forum and will be the way to submit questions from members and listeners who think a specific question will be beneficial to the community. Thanks for asking and I hope this cleared that confusion up. If not shoot me a PM and I will try to explain it differently :)

Hi @cristiana33

This is an opportunity for everyone in our Community to ask a question on Q&A. There hasn't been an option to submit questions for sometime time now but I wanted to open that up for a limited period. Hope you like it?

@cristiana33

Hey! The questions which are asked have come from a long old list. We are looking to expand the list of questions asked to members and listeners who respond. We will parse through the submissions and select those which meet the criteria for the project.

Does that make sense?

@Laura

Actually not really. I had a totally different idea about the Q&A section. I thought all members can submit questions and Listeners answer to them. But then I realized it's about submiting both Q & A through a form ...

Still quite confused. I'll watch how the project evolves I guess and maybe I'll figure out what @Dilion and @lucy2 want to make with it. :)

HI @cristiana33

Nothing to be confused about :-) previously we could only answer questions in Q&A but now anyone can submit a question and the community will answer in the same way as they do now.

Hope that helps.

@lucy2

Yup, better :) Thanks. Who was introducing questions before?

I'm looking forward to seeing the new ones or those with no replies on the first page of the section too. Not sure if that is part of your project or a very much awaited update.

Hi @cristiana33

The questions were previously from a pool at 7cups. The new questions won't appear on the front page as they are all different categories and we are trying to keep these categories seperate as it helps the Listener/Member to go directly to the subject they are interested in.smiley

Am I the only one who over analyze or think too much , I can never clear my mind unless I sleep, what helps you stress less?

@tallHickory3321

What helps me with stress is my dogs or any animal, I love walking , yoga, meditation, and the gym and anything to do with nature like woods and the beach . When I'm stress I load my dogs up and take a longer walk then normal with them. I also write or draw or color. Music helps alot too. And road trips.. and dancing... also non fires.

Why do I get the same three exercises? Three gratitude; two done well; read ten things in my feed (which are the first two posted)? Also why do the recordings cut out on the app? And finally I would like the little free book mentioned when I was trying to sign up the app. And video in the email didn't sync with app on my phone. I usually read my emails on my phone.

I'm a single mom and I've always made sure my daughter had everything she needs and I think I may have spoiled her too much with love and attention, things my parents failed to give me. Is it wrong to want your child's life to be better than yours growing up? And does it set me or her up for failure for me being as protective and loving as I am?

@Torn38

No way , that's not wrong, and that's is so amazing that your doing so. Because you should always try to raise your child to be better and smarter then yourself and have a better life then what yours was , Never to repeat the circle of pain and hurt . Your doing a great job don't ever think it will b failure just done involve money to be part of the spoiling part because as they grow they will want more and assumethey deserve and demand it also become unruly . As long as you keep a good healthy bond and trust with your child they will always love you and no one can break that.. your doing a great job don't stop !!

I'm scared for the future. I'm still an adolecent, and, because my school is a montessori school, they're doing a great job of helping to prepare me, but that can only take me so far. I have high school ahead of me, then college, then I'll need a job. I have dreams, hopes for the future, for after college and so on, but what if I can't acieve them? How can I become a better worker, planner, etc. and how can I motivate myself?

I'm feeling a lot of anxiety and stressed out emotions. My dad has dementia and alzeimers and currently in respite care. He has been financially abused by another family member who has now taken over dads house and moved a family in. He refuses to take dads clothing into the care home. Lots more issues. How can I relax and be mindful with all this going on?

@Honeybug That sounds like an awful situation to be in. Mindfulness is not about ignoring the problems in your life, it's more about how you choose to handle things without getting overwhelmed or breaking down. Mindfulness helps you keep perspective and hope. In the meantime, talk to your other loved ones who you trust and see if they can help you get your dad's belongings to him. If you have access to legal aid, see if you can get your dad's financial abuser to give back the money he stole or misused.

Ok everyone i have a bit of a predicament here.

I dated this girl about a year ago and she says she still wants to be friends with me which would normally be fine, but she wants me to take her to her prom, and she wants me to also set her up with someone I know, and she always wants hugs which I think is a bit too familiar. The other problem to this is that one of her friends happens to like me and I like her. I dont know how to gently push my ex away because she is extremely clingy and always wants to talk to me and talks about how i was the only guy to truly understand her... I just dont know how to push her away without hurting her feelings or potentially ruining my relationship with her friend. Any help?

she sounds like bad news. Perhaps meet her for coffee and have a discussion about boundaries. It's important that you make her feel like she is being a benevolent friend by endorsing you moving on, but still maintaining (in her mind at least) her power over you. As time progresses, gradually remove her from your everyday life, and eventually you'll be able to move on without her having her two bits matter in the least.

She could blow up at you, so it's very important to maintain the moral high ground, although that shouldn't be too hard as she's behaving selfishly infantile.
