Problem: Community Guidelines Impossible to Find
Hi everyone!
I like to consider myself very adept at navigating the site, but there is one thing that always trips me up: How do I find the community guidelines??
They aren't on the main page. They aren't under Path. They aren't under Chat. They aren't on the Community home page. They aren't on About. They aren't under Organization. They aren't on the bottom of the page. They aren't in the forum disclaimer. They aren't on my side menu.
Lately I've been finding them in 3 ways that are obviously less ideal than just having a link to them:
1) I type in 7cups.com/about/communityguidelines.php
2) I google search "7 cups community guidelines"
3) I go to welcome and then to community guidelines and protocol and scroll until i find the updated forum engagement guidelines that link to the community guidelines
However, the community guidelines page then only discusses listener guidelines.
Under the pop up for posting guidelines and a pinned thread in community guidelines and protocol both lead to a google doc that discusses member/guest guidelines, but this is out of date and doesn't mention feed or forum expectations.
Why is it so hard to find the guidelines?

It's because our website is organized approximately like a landfill site—stuff is dumped in random places and then gradually covered over by new stuff
I once looked into creating a site map that would have helped, but almost as soon as I got started the website got reorganized. (That was the time the main link to the forums got buried.) I lost enthusiasm for it after that.
In theory, our so-called wiki could have helped. Many organizations use wikis as a repositories of the most up to date reference information. But our wiki contains an assortment of personal opinions and material copied from elsewhere, some of which is accurate and some less so.
My suggestion would be to consolidate reference information from four places—the forums, the wiki, Google docs, and the About section of the website—in just one place. Technically, this would be easy to do by adding some functionality to the forums. Then the whole lot could be indexed for easy searching and browsing. You could search for guidelines and only get official guidelines, or you could find them in the index under G.
@MonBon
There is a link on the community page, but it's pretty far down.
{kinda off topic} I feel like the forum link should be on the header with Path, Chat, etc. (remain Chat connect and it would fit under there well). Especially with so many forum sections going to SCs, it's ridiculous to get back to the main forum page right now.
Community Guidelines should either be more prominent on the community page or on the header mentioned above.
@AffyAvo
Is it the terms of service menu?
@MonBon o it's heer

also affy deer that's what we shouted at them for months before and after they removed it from that menu but it fell on deaf ears ;~; <3

@MonBon *tacklymaulsnuggles!* ^-^
@MonBon Yeah, not all that noticeable. I only know where it is because I go to the reputation links often enough to look up someone by a badge - and that took me a little while to find when things were moved around!
@MonBon they are definitly under the subcommunities home page, but have to scroll down a lot for finding them, well hiden under about us. I agree they should be more evident to find if we want people know about them and live by them.
