24×7 moderation?
It doesn't need to be said that these forums operate 24×7. And it is evident that 7 Cups' policy is to permit new members to post links to anything they want, and for moderators to remove the links or the entire posts later if necessary. But his morning I noticed a post with a link to a "survey" asking for personal contact information and other personal details, which seemed to me to be obviously unsafe, yet it was visible for at least 8 hours. In these 24×7 forums, is there an obstacle preventing a 24×7 moderation rota, or was this just a glitch?

@RarelyCharlie As far as I know, there is no schedule for the forum team. Those with access to the flag queue were choosen based on times they are typically on, but that's about close to a schedule I'm aware of.
The CommunityMods don't have forum moderation tools is my understanding.
@AffyAvo OK, so maybe this happened because no one flagged it in the first five or six hours, but even that seems strange.

Forum moderation is managed by volunteers.
@7CupsCommunity That is what I assumed. So, is there an obstacle preventing the volunteers from taking part in a 24×7 moderation rota?

We do not restrict the times that our volunteers have access to the queue. It is always available to them.

If you need more people, I am happy to help. I live in Europe, so I may be able to cover times when no other volunteers are available

Access to the forum flag team is dependent on having global forum moderation access. I see that you are a forum supporter, so if you are interested I recommend applying to become a forum member leader and going from there. @Anomalia and @Mel can help you through the process to becoming a global forum moderator.
